- Glare Monster'sI have purchased these binoculars twice once when they first were released and once just a week ago. When they were first released they had serious glare problems but according to many reviewers Nikon had solved the problem. The glare starts at the bottom of the FOV when you are panning up and keeps getting worse until it covers the entire field. It doesn't matter if it is extremely sunny or not. I tested them in overcast weather and it will still occur. The new models I just tested are the same
- Great binoculars for me!I needed binoculars that were compact, quality built and rugged, and this fits the bill perfectly for me. Will be going on a 17 day vaca. in Alaska and needed 10x binos that were easy to handle, allowed ample light in and had a good field of view also. Will be carrying these binos in a backpack with my camera and plenty of accessories. Very happy with the value of these Nikon Monarch 7 10x30 binoculars. They blow away any binos I had in the past.
- High Quality Binoculars.Very clear, bright and sharp image. I had mine since 2016 and every time, I take them out to the field, I don't have any issues with them. Only thing I wished Nikon did on the monarch binos is to have tripod mounting adaptor system where you can mount them on tripods and I'm not talking about the Velcro straps.
- Game Warden ApprovedI work as a state game warden and I see a bunch of glass. Some of us use the Monarch line. We regularly compare gear, and recently we got together and compared binoculars. The overwhelming response was that my Monarch 7's were the best among multiple brands in this price point and even higher. Time will tell whether or not they are indestructible, but so far, when it comes to seeing those crucial details from a concealed location... I easily see the difference and appreciate the quality of the Monarch 7 binoculars.
- Great customer serviceI bought a used Monarch 5 8X42 binocular, and had questions for C.S. The responses were quick, accurate, and helpful. They even registered them for me. The Monarch 5 is a big jump in quality from my other brand. The brightness is far better, and focusing is more precise. This is a great product.
