- Sharp and Beautiful, Light and Solidly Built.We ordered this lens because I have been waiting for a native lens that wouldn't break the bank. I have used Sigma lenses in the past and have really been impressed with the sharpness. I have had my eye on this since it was announced in June. We ordered it Yesterday and it was delivered today. Not sure how that happened. I popped it on my A7ii and went out in the backyard with our dogs and captured a bunch of action shots. I really love this lens. I also mounted it to my A6000 crop sensor camera and got really close to some birds and stationary objects. Zoomed out all the way with the A6000 it's like a 600mm lens. I will probably use the A6000 more, especially in good lighting conditions. If you are a Sony E-Mount user want a native 100-400 lens and don't want to let go of $2500 this is the lens for you. You will not be disappointed.

- Excellent lens, especially for the money.Really impressive lens for the money. Sharp across the zoom range and even wide open, pretty good. What I really like is the size. I just spent a week at Yellowstone and was able to very comfortably carry this on long hikes without discomfort or awkwardness. That is just not possible with the Sony equivalent. I was able to capture game at hundreds of yards away and crop in without a loss of acceptable sharpness. Not quite as warm as my Sony lenses, but easily compensated for in post. Really nothing to say negative. If your camera also has in body stabilization, I don't think the speed is an issue. I was taking hand held pics alongside shooters with massive 2.8 lenses and was able to get the same results due to the excellent stabilization. Highly recommended.
- Great great lens!This lens is amazing with my sony a7riii! Yes i do wish there was the 150-600mm lens but this will do for now. I do not regret buying this lens one bit.
