What is the Rogue Grid?

Stacking Grid System
Choose from 3 Grid Angles

3 Grid Angles in One Compact Package
The patent pending Rogue Grid design features stacking honeycomb grids that provide 16 degree, 25 degree, and 45 degree spot lighting control. This means that photographers can choose among three different size grid spots using this small, lightweight system. Measuring 3.6" x 1.2" (92mm x 30mm), and weighing just 3.5oz (100 grams) with the included strap, the Rogue Grid fits easily into any photographer's bag.

How does the Rogue Grid Work?
The Rogue Grid's unique design utilizes precision-molded honeycomb grids that can be used independently for the 25 degree or the 45 degree spots, or stacked together to create the 16 degree spot. Because the honeycomb cells align precisely using the integrated alignment features, they can be stacked without creating unwanted shadows and reducing light output. When not being used, the stacked grids store conveniently inside the bezel.
What does the light look like from a honeycomb grid?

When attached to a light source, a honeycomb grid creates a spot of light with a gradual fall-off useful for adding dimension and depth to an image, or for highlighting important features. The angle of the grid determines the size of the spot projected forward, with smaller degree grids producing smaller spots, and larger angles producing larger spots.

How are honeycomb grids typically used?

Grids are often used on off-camera flashes as hair lights in portraiture, or for background or accent lights -- anytime a photographer is interested in highlighting a portion of an image for dramatic effect. When attached to an off-camera flash, grids help draw attention to an object, texture, or color, and can help to create a desired atmosphere or mood in an image.

Easy to Attach

The Rogue Grid securely attaches to almost all standard shoe mount flashes using the included adjustable Rogue Tension Strap. The Rogue Grid may also attach to a snooted Small FlashBender reflector (not included).

Includes a Pouch to Carry It

Also included is a durable nylon storage pouch that accommodates both the Rogue Grid and grid strap.

Add Rogue Gels (sold separately) for Color Correction or Color Effects

The Rogue Grid is designed to work with Rogue Gels (sold separately) to add color correction or dramatic color effects.
