  1. SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE IN A VALUE SLR
    Quality

This is my 7th Canon SLR. I purchased this because of its weight, price and the ability to take it just about anywhere and for any reason (avoid rain). SPECS are right here on this page, so take a closer look as I won't post them here again. The 'KEY' to this camera is it's very fast Digic 8 processor. I'm actually surprised Canon incorporated it for a entry-level SLR camera but I'd call the Digic 8 the BMW of speed, performance and detail. It's oh so fast. I also paired it using a 300MB Sandisk SD card. Yes, it is a mostly plastic body and it is not waterproof. The body weighs nothing so in that respect it travels well. It's not solid and a single drop could end its life so consider Canon's insurance for such accidents. I cannot stress enough that if you buy yourself the 'KIT' version with the included 18-55MM lens, you will not be content or pleased with its end-result quality. This lens is mostly plastics and delivers basic photos that you could get out of any Point & Shoot camera. It does however, travel well due to its weight but is limited to outdoor use for the most part. It simply can't handle indoor lighting without a flash. I paired my SL3 to all L-Series Canon lenses (from my 5D Mark IV) so there are no clarity or lighting issues. The SL3 beats out any point and shoot camera and it's ability to utilize the interchangeable lenses is a major positive. Canon hits a major home-run with their new SL3!
  2. My first canon
    Quality

My first camera I'm just in love I'm still learning to configure
  3. Great overall
    Quality

I bought this during my photography class and while everyone else were using t7s I was able to use this and the iso being able to do 26000 vs the t7 1600 max is awesome for dim light shooting
  4. Pint-Sized PUNCH!
    Quality

I have used the Rebel t4i for six years now, so I wanted to try a new model. In terms of features and quality, the SL3 is pretty much the same, which is really a compliment to the old t4i--that camera was great! For the SL3, I LOVE the smaller size, and the simplified menus and modes. I also love the easy use of the built-in flash (just pull it up) and how it will not pop up by itself. I also love the 60 fps video in two different resolutions. I also love the silent mode. I do NOT like the position of some of the bottons, and the position of the cut-out indentation for your finger to open the screen (I liked the old position better).
  5. Awesome Camera!
    Quality

I bought this for my sons Senior year in Show Choir and I could not be happier with my choice! It takes amazing pictures at the right setting with the right lens and great videos as well!
